• Why should I pursue a career at Nova Bus?

• How can I apply for a job at Nova Bus? 
  Open positions are listed in the “Careers” section of our website; you can apply by email at novabus.rhhr@volvo.com or by fax at 450 472-6147. For positions in the United States, check out the “Career & Jobs”  section of the Volvo Group website.
• How often do you post new positions? 
  Our company is growing and positions are posted in real time; we suggest you check our website regularly.
• There are no open positions that match what I am looking for; can I still apply?
  For positions based in Canada, yes; simply send us your resume and mention what type of position you are interested in. However, resumes for US positions will only be accepted for specific job vacancies.
• I sent in my resume today. How long before someone contacts me?
  We only contact candidates we select for the interview process. However, we keep all applications on file for at least 6 months. We will contact you should an open position match your profile.
• What are the basic hiring criteria?
  A high school diploma is a minimum requirement at Nova Bus. For more specialized positions, a combination of experience and schooling is required (vocational, collegiate or university studies). In all cases, we are looking for colleagues who share our values (customer culture, quality, respect for the individual and teamwork, safety and environment) and who work with passion, energy and respect.
• What should I keep in mind when preparing for an interview?
  Be prepared to discuss your strengths, developmental needs, accomplishments, goals and job expectations. Get to know Nova Bus by reviewing materials available on this website. During the interview, be yourself!
• What kind of career opportunities can I expect?
  All open positions, except for those of vice president, are posted internally. Nova Bus is intent on promoting from within to make sure employees achieve their career and development plans.
• What will my first days be like?
  Your first day will most likely be focused on integration and training, but you will also start to become familiarized with your new working environment, team and role right from day one.
• Does Nova Bus offer an internship program?
  We work in close collaboration with universities that offer an internship/co-op program to their students; we provide joint internships in fields such as engineering and manufacturing engineering.
• Is Nova Bus a good corporate citizen?
  Nova Bus is privileged to work in an industry with significant social, economic and environmental impact; it is a role we care deeply about. The company also believes in the principles of corporate social responsibility.
