ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY, FALL 2012
A group of colleagues from Nova Bus Plattsburgh plant got together for the fall cleanup of Banker Road, as part of the Adopt-a-Highway program.
The various sectors had been challenged to assemble the largest number of volunteers. It came down to a tie between Quality and Office/Admin.
In all, 6 bags of trash were picked up off the side of Banker Road between the Military Turnpike and Route 3. That is less than in the past but still too much garbage on the side of the road.
As a gentle reminder, a quote from the Robert Frost Trail: “Even a little butt is garbage, and it takes 100 years for nature to biodegrade that little filter.”
Thanks for everyone who joined in the fun, and we do have fun!
