JEAN-PIERRE BARACAT, NEW PRESIDENT OF NOVA BUS
Nova Bus is pleased to announce the appointment of Jean-Pierre Baracat as President of the Company. Mr. Baracat joined Nova Bus in 1994, taking on increasingly challenging management roles, the latest as Vice President, Business Development since 2004. At age 51, he brings to the table more than 25 years of experience in the transportation industry.
Jean-Pierre Baracat succeeds Gilles Dion, who will now take on a consulting role as Vice President and Executive Advisor, Partnership and Strategy for Volvo Bus Americas.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Baracat said, “I am honored to be entrusted with this responsibility, and I thank Volvo Bus for their confidence. I look forward to building on the company’s success and helping our team deliver value and service to our business partners and the industry.”
An engineer by profession, Jean-Pierre Baracat has been in charge of Nova Bus Business Development sector for the past 9 years. Throughout his career, he has always strongly believed in the importance of placing customers’ interests first and certainly has every intention of maintaining that same proximity with clients in his new role.

Gilles Dion, Vice President and Executive Advisor, Partnership and Strategy for Volvo Bus Americas
After many successful years and recent major U.S. and Canadian contract awards, Gilles Dion will now take on a consulting role as Vice President and Executive Advisor, Partnership and Strategy for Volvo Bus Americas.
“In this new chapter, I will remain active within the Volvo Bus group, but in a role that requires less intensity than that with which I have dedicated myself since 2004. My years at Nova Bus have been wonderful, thanks to my colleagues and our valued business partners. I want to express my gratitude for your trust and dedication during my time as Head of the company,” said Mr. Dion.
