PREVOST SERVICE TEAM SHINES IN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The Prevost Service team from Mira Loma, California excelled in the recent VISTA (Volvo International Service Technical Awards) competition held at locations across the globe. Jason Brown, Thomas Munds, Tony Trujillo and Ben DeChaine from team “12th gear” won the first three qualifying rounds and qualified for the Madrid Semifinal in Spain. VISTA is the world’s largest competition for aftermarket personnel. Every two years, thousands of Volvo’s aftermarket employees meet to settle the score through several tough rounds of theoretical and practical challenges.
The fundamentals of VISTA are to find, gather and interpret information and to transform it into skills and knowledge through team work, to solve the theoretical and practical tasks to reach ultimate customer satisfaction. VISTA is a huge competence development and brand experience activity in the form of a world-wide competition. It is held bi-annually within Volvo Trucks and Bus and has a strong heritage extending over 30 years internationally.
For the VISTA 2012-2013 edition, Prevost had a total of 14 teams registered. These teams, representing all Prevost Parts & Service Centers across Canada and the US, competed amongst themselves during the 3 qualifying rounds. Team “12th gear” from the Mira Loma, CA Parts & Service Center finished in 1st place and traveled to Madrid, Spain to represent Prevost at the VISTA semifinal on April 18, 2013. In Madrid, they competed against the best Volvo Bus Corporation teams from China and Mexico and finished in 2nd place.
