Nova Bus is proud to display a Thunder Bay Transit Nova LFS vehicle at this year’s Ontario Transportation Expo (OTE). The new LFS bus, one of three scheduled to deliver to Thunder Bay in April, features an interior design that has been optimized for passengers requiring the accommodation of personal mobility devices and strollers, and includes enhanced standing room on the lower level.
Thunder Bay Transit is the public transit operator for Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. It was formed in 1970, after the amalgamation of the cities of Port Arthur and Fort William and their respective transit agencies. Transit service in Thunder Bay runs from 6:00am until after midnight in most areas and approximately 90% of the city’s urban area is within 400 meters of a bus stop.
Thunder Bay features Nova Bus vehicles almost exclusively and has purchased a total of forty-seven Nova LFS vehicles since 1997.
Fleet Manager Jim Suffak says “We have enjoyed a great relationship with Nova Bus for over twenty years. We are very pleased with their products and they are well received by the general public.”
“Nova Bus is extremely proud to be Thunder Bay Transit’s bus supplier and we are grateful for their longstanding loyalty to our brand. It’s an honor to showcase their brand new LFS vehicle at OTE” states Raymond Leduc, President – Nova Bus and Prevost.
