Nova Bus is pleased to announce that Bow Valley Regional Transit Services Commission, in Alberta, has selected Nova Bus as its preferred bus supplier for the purchase of its next two 40-foot vehicles.
“We are privileged to have the opportunity to collaborate with Bow Valley,” said Gilles Dion, Nova Bus President and CEO. “We have built a valued partnership over the years with the town of Banff and we are proud to provide solutions to help them enhance their regional services.” Bow Valley is composed of the towns of Banff, Canmore and Improvement District #9 (Lake Louise and Banff National Park).
The vehicles will include the Nova eCooling solution. This proprietary electric engine cooling system significantly lowers fuel consumption and reduces maintenance downtime compared to hydraulic cooling systems. It is positioned on the roof of the bus, out of the engine compartment, to allow easy access to main components and improve intake air quality.
“As the first transit commission formed in the province of Alberta, there is pride associated with launching a new public transit service in the Bow Valley region, with that, we are delighted to be using the environmentally friendly, state of the art Nova Smart buses,” said Koji Miyaji, General Manager, Bow Valley Regional Transit Services Commission.
The Nova LFS buses for Bow Valley will also feature Nova Bus’ new transit bus interior. Behind its bright and modern look, the new interior integrates innovative solutions to emphasize functionality in transit operations. Its design is the result of in-depth research and offers passengers a better environment while streamlining bus maintenance.
