For every passenger-mile traveled, public transportation produces only a fraction of the harmful pollution of private vehicles.
With its capacity, a public transit bus can replace more than 50 cars and SUVs on the road.
It would take 60 new 2007 buses to equal the soot emissions of one transit bus sold in 1988.
Nova Bus is proactively adapting its vehicles for the upcoming 2010 regulation change, when nitrogen oxides (NOx) & particulate emissions levels will be near zero.
